A Savage 270 will be great for reaching out there on them "Yotes there BowtechShooter. I haven't really gotten into long range shooting too much but it does spark my interest. I do have a .22 Marlin Semi-Auto that will reach out there a good ways. I have a cheap Tasco Scope on it and it is deadly accurate. I have killed my share of Squirrels with it. I hope the 270 Savage works out for ya Dylan. Congrats, that's a fine Rifle buddy. Happy shootin'.

Is it the older style 111 where the front ring needs a rounded bottom and the rear needs to be flat? If so Waren makes the best bases and quick release rings for that rifle. I used to frequend a web site devoted to the Savage muzzle loader thats built on the same basic action. People on there were distroying every other ring and base on the market, but most of us were loading them hot.
