This evening on the way home from my eye Dr apointment we stopped a friend of the families house, and got permission to hunt. It is only 30 ac, but they say it is loaded with deer and I believe them because we had 2 does within bow range while we were standing in the front yard talking. I figured that it would be a perfect place for Riverrat and I to video tape eachother taking deer, but Leo (the land owner) said no. Only my paremts and I can hunt the place. I'll be in the woods there at 1st light if it is not raining. Wait till the sun is up good enough then just find a good trail without any previous scouting.

In a few min. I am going to be headed for the woods. It will be my 1st morning hunt of the year, and I barely slept any last night. I think that I am going to try this new property, but have not decided yet. Deffinatly going to get my trail cam out on this new property mid day even if I decide to hunt somewhere else after I am on the road. No matter where I go I plan on holding out for anice buck. There is plenty of time to get a few does later.

Bow just before I headed into the woods this morning feed plot that I found just off the edge of the new property. Notice the ground blind built out of straw bales. Land owner says I was on state property, but after looking at plat book I think I was accdentaly trespassing after assuming that he was correct Better view of the ground blind. I am going to build one similar to this on some other property that I hunt
